These terms are the agreement between you and MyTaskListsOnline for using MyTaskLists: the website, the web app
(mytasklists.online/app) and the iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the
service you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. How we handle your data is explained in
the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. The Spanish version
(Condiciones del servicio) prevails in case of discrepancy.
1. Who we are
MyTaskLists is a service of MyTaskListsOnline (“MyTaskLists”, “we”, “us”).
Address: Cuernavaca, Morelos, México.
Contact: privacidad@mytasklists.online.
2. The service
MyTaskLists lets you create shopping lists, share them with other people, sync them in real time and schedule
recurring items that come back to the list on their own. It also sends you alerts in the app, by email and as
push notifications if you allow them. Features may vary between the web, iOS and Android.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by the law of your country to accept these terms.
The information you give us must be true and up to date. An account is personal: do not share or transfer it.
You are responsible for what happens with your account. Keep your password secret, we recommend turning on
two-step verification, and let us know as soon as you suspect unauthorized access.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms also apply to that sign-in.
You can delete your account whenever you want from “My account” in the web, iOS or Android app (section
12).
4. Your content
What you write in MyTaskLists (list names, items, descriptions) remains yours. To provide the service you give
us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license limited to what is needed to store, copy, display and
transmit that content to you and to the people you share each list with. The license ends when you delete the
content or your account, except for backups, which are overwritten in their normal cycle.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to post it. We do not review lists in advance,
but we may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.
5. Shared lists
Whoever creates a list owns it: they can invite and remove members, edit it and delete it. If they delete it
or delete their account, the list is gone for everyone else too.
The people you invite can see the list, add items and check them off according to the permission you give
them. Only invite people you want to see that content, and only use emails of people who expect your
invitation.
What you do in a shared list (for example, marking an item as bought) is visible to its members, with your name.
6. Acceptable use
When using MyTaskLists you agree not to:
Use it for anything illegal, or to harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive other people.
Post unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit or violent content.
Send mass invitations, spam or unsolicited advertising.
Try to access other people's accounts or data, test the service's security without permission, or bypass its usage limits.
Interfere with the service: overload it, introduce malicious code, or scrape data without authorization.
Copy, decompile or resell the service, except as expressly permitted by law.
If you find a vulnerability, write to privacidad@mytasklists.online before making it
public; we will not take action against anyone reporting it in good faith.
7. Price
Today MyTaskLists is free and has no purchases or ads. If we offer paid features in the future, we will tell you
the price and conditions before you can buy them, and nothing you already use for free will start being charged
without your consent.
8. Intellectual property
The service, the software, the design, the MyTaskLists brand and its logos belong to MyTaskListsOnline or its
licensors. These terms give you no rights over them beyond using the service as described here. If you send us
suggestions, we may use them freely to improve the service, with no obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
Some features depend on third parties, such as Google and Apple (sign-in), Apple and Google (push notifications
and app stores) and our hosting provider. We do not control those services and their use is governed by their
own terms. If one fails or changes, the related feature may stop being available.
10. App Store and Google Play apps
If you download the app from a store, in addition:
These terms are between you and MyTaskListsOnline, not with Apple or Google. We alone are responsible for the app
and its content.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control,
as permitted by the relevant store's rules (for Apple, the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service).
Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. For questions or claims
about it (including product liability, legal compliance or consumer protection claims) contact us.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase
price for the app, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation.
If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not
Apple, will be responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on
any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have
the right to enforce them against you as such.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep MyTaskLists always running, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance, failures or causes
beyond our control. We may change, add or remove features. To keep working with the server, you may sometimes
need to update the app to a minimum version. If we decide to shut down the service, we will give you at least 30
days' notice so you can review your data.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from “My account” → “Delete account”, on
the web or in the apps. Deletion is immediate and permanent, as described in the
privacy policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if the law requires it,
or if your use puts the service or other people at risk. Unless it is not possible or lawful, we will notify you
and explain why, and you will be able to respond.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any
kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or absence of errors.
MyTaskLists is an organization tool: we do not guarantee that reminders or alerts will always arrive on time or
that no information will be lost, so do not rely on it for anything critical.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MyTaskListsOnline will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or
consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from the use of or inability to use
the service. Since the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you
paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing above limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for
fraud or gross negligence, or the rights granted to you by consumer protection laws.
15. Indemnity
If you breach these terms or the law when using the service and that leads to a third-party claim against us,
you agree to cover the reasonable damages and costs it causes us, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example because of changes to the service or the law. We will update the date
above and, if the change is significant, let you know by email or in the app at least 15 days before it takes
effect. If you keep using the service afterwards, we will understand that you accept the changes; if you do not
agree, you can delete your account.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the
competent courts of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, waiving any other jurisdiction, unless the consumer protection
law of your country entitles you to bring a claim before the courts where you live. In Mexico you may also turn
to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
18. General provisions
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Not enforcing a clause at a given time
does not mean we waive it.
You may not assign these terms without our permission. We may assign them to whoever continues the service,
notifying you beforehand.
We are not liable for failures caused by force majeure or events beyond our reasonable control.
These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. The Spanish
version prevails over translations.
